According to the scriptures, God’s grace, his goodness toward us is not deserved grace. According to the Bible, God is not gracious to us because we keep His laws. God is not gracious to us because we obey Him. God is not merciful because we are good, because our intentions are good, and because our actions are good.
God is gracious to us because He is so. God is gracious, He does good because it is righteous for Him. This is objective love. God is love.
So if we do good because we believe that is right we carry divine attributes, we carry the unconditional love in life. If we do good because we feel it is righteous, we become gods on Earth.
